Just Saying
Do we need permission or does the client need to know we are working on them?:
This subject is a hot potato among alternative therapists. I have seen some heated arguments here. Kam Yuan doesn't seek permission. Tom Tam talks about being on the same frequency similar to each of us turning to the same dial on the radio. Raymon Grace believes if it is negatively effecting his family or friends he will step in.
Some practitioners will make sure that they have permission. Others don't bother. They see a need and start tapping. Some will have a family member in hospital that doesn't believe in energy therapies yet they quietly start working on this person. Others believe that if it affects their family they can step it. Some believe that if they are working in the light all is right.
Our experience is showing us that you can work on someone using the Tong Ren Methods without them knowing and make a difference.
The preference is for the client to know they are being worked on. In that way they can participate and support the changes. We can shift blockages - have the person feel better. Yet if the person has given up, gets value in being sick or has a belief system firmly engrained in their psyche what you do may not be enough. Remember "You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink."
While you can practice tong ren on someone without their knowledge. I believe that it is important that you do what you believe. Show up, Be present -with an open heart and mind. Simulate those blockages and let the body do what it needs to do. ~ Kathy
